Adrenaline Rush Last Night!

On the way home, around 7:30, I had a near encounter with a deer. (large doe)

Saw it running on the side of the road...slowed down...she stopped and was looking at me...I was looking at her...

I decided to speed up to get past...

At the same time, she decided to go ahead and cross the road.

IT WAS CLOSE! Thought for sure I was going to hit her.

Missed by about a foot!

Deer. Worst 4 legged killers in the country. Word of caution if you ever chase a deer across open ground in tall weeds - if the deer jumps, hit the brakes. I chased one that jumped... over a ravine 6-8' wide, near 6' deep. Had quite a time getting the bike out. Only time I ever jumped over the handlebars, barely made it to the other side.

Had one come over on my left side then ran down the road along side of me only thing between us was the double yellow lines....it veered back off the road after a good 20 yards.

Days of riding off road are pretty much over for me...no chasing anything in the weeds. haha

That's crazy! I would NOT have liked that!

Rode in this morning. 65*

I think we're about done with the cold for the next 9 months.

Did a bit of riding yesterday myself. Worst part was the *** puckering of riding through my water logged back and side yards to get to my driveway. I store my bike in our walk out basement but the weather was too good to leave it there. It's back in my garage now ready for the next nice day!
