I layer, just don't get enough cold weather riding up here to justify buying electric. The last 3 winters were the first ones that managed a few salt free days that I could get out in, and most of those were in snowstorms before fresh salt.

On Monday it was 38* on the way in. Today, same time, it was 69* when I got to the shop.

Bummer about the snow/salt.

Here's a screensaver to get thru the winter.

I started to type..."I understand", but then realized, I really don't know what it's like to be snowbound with the bike put up for months.

When you see my next post you may feel a tad better....

Thanks for starting this thread.
Congrats on getting back in the wind!

Kevin

This afternoon....

The photo below might not seem to have anything to do with riding and owning a HD.

BUT....I am having to cut out some rotten wood in the trim around the house, and this is just the start. I have a lot more to do.

IF I would have taken the time to clean and paint it years ago...INSTEAD of Riding, it would have never gotten this bad.

Got lucky, didn't get cold enough to stick (though that hasn't stopped them many times before) and we got a pass on the salt. And a couple times again this week. Conserving salt, sure didn't do that the last few years, maybe last year was the grand finale.

That reminds me, I've got bare wood showing in spots and I completely forgot to slap some more paint on before it got too cold. I may end up doing what you're doing next year. Again - I did some of that several years ago and I'm sure it needs more now. Darned motorcycles are distracting.
