RE: How do y'all pay for all those extras?
I go around and pick up aluminum cans, and copper wires and tubes. And every once in a while I miss an alimony payment, and since my oldest got a full academic scholarship,I put aside for his sister, got him a jeep andI use up some of his college funds. It's all about planning and i'm hoping my daughter gets a musical scholarship so I canget meone of them thar SEscooters one day.

After spending some time here and planning to purchase a BT model (and seeing the cost of everything) I was wondering how you all afford to pay $20k for a bike and then put $10-20k extra into it in a fairly short period of time? And what do you do with all the "bling" when its time for a new bike? My wife and I make a good living but I guess we have other priorities first. We pay the bills and for the toys and have cash left over but got have some savings and investments so we can retire someday. Plus I dont believe in running up the credit cards. Just wondering what the "secret" is?

Marry someone who makes a lot of money, that makes all your income disposable, i.e. bike money. Kidding of course, buy what you can afford, no more. The stock bikes run fine, unless you have a "project", then a few things might need immediate attention. Rather than be caught up in the "bling" thing, enjoy the ride, have fun and ride safe, do what you consider essential for you and then hang tight, a another piece of chrome won't make the ride any sweeter.

Not married and have no children.I also sold my last camaro and don't race anymore( for now[:@]) I am looking for a documented 67-69 trans am series camaro to race though so I might be light on walking cash here pretty soon.

Is what ya do is you pay for the first thing that you change out, like the exhaust. Then you take your stock exhaust and sell it on ebay or swap meet section, etc. and then you put that money toward your next purchase, then you sell the other stock item that you just changed out and on and on. As far as trade in or sale, you generally don't get back any money for mods [:-]
