Looks good, like the color. A bit to hipster for me though.

But also looks hot as hell, gonna be sweaty bullets come summer. Also how good does that visor seal? Would be concerned about rain getting in there.

It does look like a good fitting lid though, congrats !!

I like the Old School look of that helmet. I wore Bell Full face Helmets back in the late 70's early 80's. I now wear a Fulmer AFN4 when I wear a Full Face. HD Half helmets in the summer. The Fulmer AFN4 FF is great if you get caught is the rain or ride in the cold. I have a Scala Rider headset installed in it for music and communications.

I got one for Christmas and always wore a half helmet before unless it was cold or a very long trip. It's lightweight, looks retro, and fairly cool without vents. The visor doesn't seal like a street bike type full face. It's actually a small gap. I have used it for every ride since I got it.

I really like the look. S model shield is the only difference right? I want one to wear open for more wind but still having face protection. Been watching close outs and the classifieds.

That was Dale Earnhardt's preference as well. Hmm.

I went to a MC show and their was a helmet safety guy there. They had 20 or so crashed helmets. So many were scraped in the face area, it got me thinking. This helmet with its large eyeport fits the bill for me. I'm just to good looking to have my face scraped off.
My wife tried it and now she wants one...
Your wife tried to scrape your face off and now she wants one? Really?

I just tried on 20+ 1/2 and 3/4 helmets. Decided on the Shoei J-Cruise.

Not a cheap helmet but open face for AIR, great internal sun shield, clear shield which I keep up below 70mph, good circ, etc. By far the best open face for my needs - round town, cruising and touring.

I have the Gringo (and a Bonanza 3/4) and I like them but the Gringo is a pain in the a** dealing with prescription glasses and visors so eventually I will pick up the S.

Yes. S stand for shield. I went back and forth on the original Gringo and the S because I like the goggles or sunglasses with the Gringo also but figured if I got the S, I can take off the shield and ride with glasses or goggles. If I bought the original I can't put the shield on. lol
