It took me a month to find out about Dyna, Softail and Touring.
Then I learned that Bob is Dyna and Boy is Softail. Then things got very complicated, Wide Glide is Dyna but all other Glides (narrow ones, I guess???) are Touring. Who was naming all models? Last Davidson?

 

There is no telling how in the f Harley names their bikes any more!

There is only one harley model that really matters anyway... The Superglide. All the other names are pretty lame. Who wants to ride a fatboy. I personally don't but whatever you guys do in the privacy of your bedroom is your business.

 

I have taken over a decade to just learn the model names. But the alphabet soup of model designations such as FLXSEUC or whatever is well beyond me.

I do have the XLCH down pat though. Sportster Competition Hot. Yea baby!

 

I stopped trying to figure it out with the end of the Shovelhead era so it is easy for me.

 

 

I love "Road King" name! I had 99 FLHTCUI, it took me 2 weeks to learn the abbreviation. I think it is Electra, what is electrical about it?
