Horn does not honk!

Horn does not honk!
Went to change bell cover on horn for one on ebay. Took all off and reinstalled with new cover. Horn would not honk but would make a buzzer sound. Put horn back with original bell cover and reinstalled, same buzzing sound. I know there is an adjustment screw on back.
I did wash the bike after a trip to Galveston last week. Not sure if I have used the horn since then (certainly rode it once since then).
I plan to remove and hook up to car battery to see if it honks.
Things to work with include adjustment screw on back of horn (not sure how it got out of adjustment), dry horn switch unit.
Any other recommendations? (I know, get a new horn)
Thanks,
Steve

Theres 1 of 2 issues
A) No power - You have the buzz so its getting juice but is it enough juice? Did a prong come undone? Is there grease on he prong?
B) Screwed up horn - This sounds like its it.. If the horn worked after install before you washed the bike, then theres water in the horn. If it didn't work..
If the horn is blown, I have a working horn assembly of a 2004 dyna. Youre welcome to it free of charge. Ill have it back in hand in 2 weeks, I'm moving next week and my parts are all packed....

When I bought my springer, its horn didn't work. I checked connections and confirmed there was power, but still nothing. After turning the adjustment screw this way and that, I finally got it to "bark." With a little more experimentation, I hit the sweet spot and it worked . . . at least for a while. It continued to work intermittently, but I grew tired of having to re-tweak it all the time, and purchased another.
Horn works now.

Could not get it to work today. Tried the adjustment screw / no luck. Hooked it up to car battery (same sound as on bike). Sprayed WD40 down the horn / no luck. It was not wet but maybe water got on it and ruined it (don't think so).
I think the horn is just gone. Will have to get a replacement
