Default are all EVO's Noisy when starting?

My 98 starts kinda hard it seems. It has a new full charged battery and it still does it. Its noisy and kinda sounds bad to me. Ill try and record the sound it makes. Ive heard other makes and models of bikes start and they sound so good. I havent heard another Evo though so I have nothing to go off. Im hoping its not my starter or something else. Am I just stupid?

The only loud noise I get from my Evo is the exhaust. What do your noises sound like and where do they seem to be coming from?

well sometimes its like the starter isnt engaging fully and is just spinning, and then sometimes its more of a grind. I mean its gotten to the point where I avoid my fellow Soldiers at work when get released so they arent standing by my bike when I start it. Ive seen how much starters are and its not lookin good.

Sounds like it could be a problem with the clutch ring gear and the pinion gear. If you have not already, post this problem on the Evo Forum. There are some knowledgeable posters over there.

where is the starter relay and could that cause these problems? That sounds alot better then a gear or starter. LOL.
