I thought the Softail Slim was part of the Dark Custom line at one point. Was I wrong?

My 84 Iron Head Sportster had polished aluminum cases and rocker boxes. I thought they looked better than chrome, but took a lot of rubbing to keep them that way. The chrome on my 99 Softail custom does look good though, and cleans up easy with a little soap and water.

 

Another old thread fell victim to the "Related Threads" scroll setting.....
