Here is my $3.34 shift peg extender mod. Can't see spending $25+ on something that just gets whacked with my boot. New pieces are in the middle of the first pict. The new bolt is 5/16 x 3", 24 thread. I also added a couple of lock washers and some loctite.

Lots of rainy weather here this year, made this mini tank lift with aluminum and stainless on lathe and mill in garage. Bracket raises tank 1 inch, maximum for clearance between tank ears and bottom of riser without sliding tank backwards. Polished the aluminum brackets and used stainless hardware.
The little piece of wood on the intake is to hold the front of the tank up with the mounting bolt out, the wire is on it because somebody lost the block of wood under the tank , ha, ha.

Built this lift about 20 years ago. I've used it hundreds of times. Currently supporting my 2018 FLHXS. Made from 1.25" square tubing, welded in internal bushings, all grade 8 hardware, 4 steel swivel casters, and a 2 ton bottle. $80.00 in materials, and few hours under the helmet. Solid as a rock, and spins on a dime. At the time I couldn't find one low enough to fit under the wife's 883 Hugger. Lowered height is 4"

The thread I've been looking for
Build "stuff" for a living. So the Harleys always get custom, one-off and hand made parts;
Primary cover,(posted on what did you do to your Softail today.
Putting a second surface coat on today. Boeing Mil-spec, high temp. epoxies.
Air cleaner cover;
Made "sport bags, fork cover and Bikini fairing.
Working on a full front "Batwing" style. Picture a small Victory type. Templates are almost done. Need to break down and order tooling foam (expensive)
or bite the bullet and shape from MDF, (gag)
JM
