This is not Olive Drab. This is HD trying to do Olive Drab. Its crazy, they sell the flat black bikes, then they try and do this olive drab and make it glossy. epic fail. I own 2 military vehicles as my non motorcycle vehicles. I promise you this is not Olive Drab in any way shape or form. God I wish they would make one that was. I would buy it.
But it still would not be a new model, just a new trim level.

The other day I was a the local dealer and saw a Softail Slim in "boxcar red". Looked exactly like Rustoleum primer or the red oxide paint railroads used to use to paint freight cars, because it was cheap. Just needed a railroad logo of your choice to complete the look.

I think it's a great looking bike and I really like the new wheels, would like to swap them out on my SG. It amazes me how many on this site bash HD, don't all companies do this?? Have you seen the latest Chevy truck commercial with 4 or 5 "special edition" trucks? They are all the same as a standard Silverado just removed all of the chrome and put some graphics on them, people buy the heck out of them around here and I bet there will be quite a few that buy this bike. It addresses a lot of the things that I didn't like about my old road king; cool wheels, SG rear fender and lights, bare front fender. I think it looks pretty cool. I understand a lot of people like the nostalgic look of the road king but not everybody does.

Road King Special has mini apes, that's the good news. RK stock bars not the best.
Without even reading what the "special" features are, here are my first impressions as a multiple RK owner.
Blacked out stuff, I rate that a 1 out 10
Color choices: with one exception: 2 out of 10
Here's the deal breaker for me. When I see a Road King I see massive bike, low and strong, "beefy" with a big chrome headlamp.
This bike looks like a high setting Road King on a diet. Not in my garage and not $23000.00 +
Designers are aiming for something here: missed.

In fact, the suspension has been lowered compared to the regular Road King. Same height as the Street Glide.
