Who bought you your first RIDING BELL?
(Taken from Ronster's earlier post, Thank You Ronster!)
I've been riding for quite a few years and remember years ago learning about the "riding bell".
I never bought myself a bell and just forgotten about it.
Well, last trip to Sturgis, a couple I had just met that made the trip with us noticed I did not have a bell and bought me a beautiful bell in downtown Sturgis!! I am now friends with that couple (Matt and Janice) to this day and we play a weekly poker game together now with some other friends.
I'm sure that bell only cost them a couple of bucks BUT,,,
IT MEANT SO MUCH TO ME!
I now have lifelong friends because two people decided to spend a couple of bucks thinking of ME.
Was out riding today and stopped by the local dealership. I remembered my best friend (who rides a Goldwing and I am still trying to fix THAT) had put a bell on his bike himself. Cheap ugly thing too!
Well, I had my daughter (he's an uncle to her) pick one out. We rode to his house and presented him with it.
He was almost in tears. He must have spent a half hour trying to figure out where and how to place it.
Best 9 bucks I ever spent!!
WHERE AND HOW DID YOU GET YOUR FIRST BELL?

Wife gave me my orginal one which I saved, then when I bought my new one she got me two more. She got me one for Fire and one for Police since I do both.
