That pretty much sums up the attitude of the city fathers.

hey 2goldens I live at the beach in New Jersey. All summer long we have tourists. Here's my advice to you.

Shut up and enjoy the fact you live where folks like to take vacations.
They help pay your taxes.
They keep you or your friends employed
They contribute to your roads through the state gas tax
They even buy realestate keeping prices higher then areas that do not have a strong tourist business.

Up north we call them bennys. Why because they are always wanting change for a hundred.

I was maybe a little too strong in my charization of folks who bellyache about Bike Week. You may not be gay or have a VJJ. If you don't like crowds stay home. You my friend do not do anyone any good complaining about Bike Week. Get over yourself.

Never complained. Simply stated that I stay away from the crowds these days. Obviously many people feel otherwise or they wouldn't have the things. Been to a couple Myrtle Beach bike weeks and enjoyed 'em. My understanding from friends who live in the Daytona area is that they're a couple of different animals.
So no problem. You work your side of the street and I'll work mine. Just didn't like that characterization.

Hell at least his crowds are bikers-- ours are the dregs of bennieville. AKA demonrat crapholes. Nothing like Raheem and Jose knife fighting on a SSH street. LOL

It's free trade, the American way! They can charge whatever they want, nobody is making you buy it. Hell, I don't buy food or beer at the track.

I'll just go across the street, to any number of fine establishments, selling food and beer, for a much more reasnable price.
Question, have you ever bought gas for your boat at a marina? Talk about charging whatever you want!

Truth with regards to the prices. We walked across the street from Daytona racetrack to Hooters and had a great meal, good drinks with some mighty fine looking Hooter girls.

Can't beat that!
