This is a really bad way to start out, sorry it happened, but it happened. Maybe the dealer can have a body shop do a good touch up rather than the half baked attempt, they do have ins to cover this. Agree the bike should come apart, but the body shop may be a workable option. I understand this affects how you feel about the bike, but hopefully this will work out.

Things can happen at dealerships, but they need to make it right.

The sign of a respectable business is how they fix issues when things don't go as planned.

I'd want the tin replaced or repainted and the frame matched as well as possible not a paint pin blob in, then the dealer and I would have long conversation about a loaner and what it will take for me to get that warm fuzzy feeling back.

Social media and instant communization has proven to be a very powerful tool for making or breaking image and reputation, keep this in mind.

It gets replaced in the same condition as before the bike was brought in for service. No more. No less.

Humans pay for their mistakes. I'm sick and tired of the entitlement that today's little snowflakes feel.

Exactly. The dealer I dealt with (Sweetwater HD in National City, CA) screwed up and went above and beyond.

I wouldn't re-frame a bike because of a chip in the frame, but I would expect the paint to be fixed, and comepnsation for the frame in the form of say, an additional couple years extended service contract.

Wow, you're tough on bikes.

I'd be frustrated as well, but can you post up some pics of these two areas so we have a visual. Any damage is unacceptable & they should fess/offer up some type of compensation. What are you expecting from the dealer?
