Update............
Ok guys............. after testing both the Harley system as well as Garmin, Garmin definitely has it over Harley.
Funny, I was going to write in detail why but I am so tired (LOL) I am just going to say after studying them both extensively Garmin wins. Hands down.
To me the number 1 reason is because when you are using the turn by turn directions, Garmin is much clearer on where your turn is. And you are much less apt to miss the turn coming up.
There are a variety of other reasons but in short….Garmin wins just the way the pole indicates.
Have a great day my friends,

I have a '13 SG so I don't have built-in nav, but I have a RAM mount for my iPhone and I can snap it in if I need to get somewhere at a set time...but usually I just ride. If I get too lost, I'll pull out the phone and get my bearings, but Google maps and/or Waze work good for me.
Now in my car, I have built in nav and I still keep Waze running on my phone in a dash mount, mostly for the cop ahead notices. I tend to drive faster than I ride, so that's saved my *** a few times. Sometimes the car and phone agree on the routing, sometimes they don't. I'll usually look at the remaining miles and ETA and decide which one to follow, but the phone probably wins 65-70% of the time, I'd guess.
