After I wash the bike using a cotton cloth with soap and water, I use a sheepskin chamois

 

OH MAN...I thought this was a post for the LADIES!

 

Old towels, dish rags, and socks get retired to cleaning rag duty. For polishing I use cloths I get from the same place I buy guitar strings. They are the best I have found:

I've used micro fiber rags for years, never any problem with lint.

I use micro fibre cloths and a synthetic chamois. I never had an issue with lint.

Me too. If there's any lint, go to a ride and blow it off that way.

 

I'm pretty sure it's not lint but the fibers separating from the towel itself.
