Thumbs up What Are Your 2017 Riding and/or Non-Riding Goals?

Mine are:

1) Slow down and smell the roses a LOT more.

2) Do not let ANYTHING bother me.

3) Be more loving to everyone.

4) Forgive EVERYONE for any and everything.

5) "Be There", listen carefully when in conversations.

6) Make myself more of a priority and not everyone else neglecting myself.

1. Not have to use my cane most days.
2. F#!$ back surgery and learn to live in pain.
3. Don't let back/hip pain stop me from doing anything.
4. Ride more.

That's all I got.

Start the year right with at least a short ride on New Year's Day. Haven't missed a New Year's Day ride in a long time.

Besides the usual day rides and short trips:

January 14. Celebrate the life of a good friend and rider who passed away a few days ago.

May - Three/four week ride all the way up the Pacific coast then loop inland through the mountains back to California.

Take the grandkids camping

Put some catless headers and a tuner on the bike.

Seriously considering an Arizona/Utah/Colorado Devil's Highway/Million Dollar Highway loop for late summer.

A couple music festivals, a few other concerts.

Oh, yeah, finish landscaping the back yard. Maybe.

My 2017 riding goals are goals that I've been putting off for Far too long: take an experienced riders course, then take the Ride Like a Pro course. I plan on becoming proficient at slow-speed maneuvers(tight turns, u-turns, etc)with my ultra limited. I'm currently reading a book called Proficient Motorcycling...a very good read so far. The way I see it, it's never too late to "learn" how to ride and this should never have been put off!

I plan to spend another day on the road with the UK motorcycle police. Did it last year - it was a blast and I learned a lot!

Also - four trips riding some of the best roads in Europe. Already booked and looking forward to them - including a 10 day tour of the Alps.

Wow! Everything you mention is on my list too. I am also half way through Proficient Motorcycling. I highly recommend this book to even the most seasoned rider.
