There were several of those around when I was a kid in Chicago in the early 50's. Of course the one I liked best was the one a guy sold ice cream and popsickles from. Police rode them then, too. These were the first motorcycles I can remember being interested in.

Bought a 1963 Servi-car from a city auction in 1981 for $700.
65,000 miles on the speedometer.
Last year for kick start.
It didn't run but I did a valve job and replaced the rings.

Sold it in 1982 for $1,700.
Could add another zero to that price now.

55 was about top speed.
Couldn't carry anybody but I could haul a pile of groceries in the rear box.

Wish I had it back.

Here's a shot of my '53 Servicar that is ridden regularly, running errands around town.
I remember going to see Baltimore Orioles games up until their last year at Memorial Stadium, which I believe was 1989, and the cops directing traffic there were still riding Servicars!

Great looking cars. My brother in law had one and cut it in half and melded half of a sportster to it. It looked pretty cool and was a whole lot faster than the flathead. No pics, sorry.
