Harley Davidson boots are junk

I wear a pair of Frye harness boots I bought well over 20 years ago. They have softened inside and feel like wearing moccasins. I've had to have them resoled once.
You will never be sorry for spending a few extra bucks and buying one pair of the very best quality, since they will last decades with reasonable care. Frye has been made in the USA since 1863.

I must be pretty hard on boots.
I usually get about five (or so) years out of my riding boots and I usually wear out the outer sides of the heals long before the sole or upper leather parts.
My problem, or actually usage is that I wear my boots most of the time, especially in cooler/colder weather, not only when riding.
The only exception(s) is that I wear dress boots for social affairs and I wear sneakers in warm weather (and for walking) in my bags when I go on trips.
My last two pair of riding boots have be H-D and the current pair is the "Hustin" water-proof with the inside the calf zippers.
I've been very happy with them (had them for two seasons), I like the way the feel and wear and they still look very good.
I use "Doc Bailey's" on them and I apply it about four times per year.
Perhaps they're a bit pricey but my problem is that I wait so long to buy new boots (or sneakers) that it usually leads to a "have to buy now" situation and shopping isn't really practical.

My wife and I have those same boots in your pic, must be at least 15 yrs old now and still going strong. All I've done is got them resoled with some vibram soles and apply some lexol leather conditioner once in a while. Damn good boots in my opinion. Back then they cost about $100.00
