Harley Davidson boots are junk

For whatever it is worth i have experienced rubber sole disintegration in a few different brands of footwear in the past 5-7 years.
The rubber seemed to just soften or melt and start to fall apart.
Sometimes from the inside to outside and other times from outside to inside.
Almost looked like rubber was turning to powder as it crumbled.
It happened with Florsheim, Ecco, Teva and a few other brands.
My harley branded hiking style boots are still good and are a little older then time frame described.
I get the feeling that some kind of experimenting with product composition was done that did not work well during that time frame.

I bought and wore a pair of HD boots every year for about 10 years. Best boots ever. Since they quit making the boot I wore, I have tried another boot every year. Carolina, another HD boot, Exelement (cheap Chinese boot), Caterpillar. None are anywhere close to the HD boot. I have had to resort to wearing my worn out HD boot this year as the boot I bought is absolutely worthless. I sure do wish I could still get the boot I wore for years.

Link to great boots
If you want a quality boot and service here's a link. https://www.wescoboots.com/builder/default.aspx I have probably had 6 pair of climbing boots in the last 25 years from them, wear them 5 to 7 days a week average 10 to 14 hours a day in snow, rain, mud, cow crap last 3-4 years before breaking steel shank from climbing poles. Not cheap but also Made in America. Also boots and shoes for women priced or a pair for my wife a fews years ago at around $1600. Oh for the first post police this is mine.
