Everything Harley-Davidson branded besides its motorcycles is status symbol junk.
That's simply not true. The Harley jumpstarter isn't junk, it's a NoCo, they just put the Harley name on it. Same with their airbag vest, I don't remember exactly what it is but I think it's a Dainese? In any case, it's not junk. Some of their helmets have been rebranded Bells and such.
Those are all good products. If you want to say they're overpriced, sure; the Harley tax is real, you could always buy the same thing under the original company's name for less. But they're still decent products.
Now if you were only talking about clothing, then you're probably right. Only thing I'd disagree on is the leather jackets, I got my wife a nice one a few years ago and it seems pretty good quality. But that's a jacket that's "made for the ride", as they used to advertise; it's not just "Harley fashion".
