Should take just a few minutes. Give the electronics a chance to work. When was the last time you changed your plugs? I'd be more inclined to believe that condensation from the sudden cooling we had over Friday may have generated a little water in your gas. You could throw a little SeaFoam in there to clean the injectors (no knowledge on bike type, condition or mileage).

I do not think that those codes are normally generated at start up. I check the codes once a week. Last time I checked there were no ECM codes. Last night there were the two ECM codes you mentioned.
properly running bikes do not throw any codes for any reason, during start up or otherwise. You need to understand what generates a code. the ecu can only read three things resistance, (ohms), voltage, and amperage, and all input sensors produce one of those three, the ecu reads these and checks them against the parameters put in, and if outside of them throws a code. If the code is there for a certain length of time, (given what sensor is at fault) it then throws a check engine light. It may vary, two start ups, it may throw it instantly, it does depend, You need to give more info, and quit dodging the question, or nobody here can help

I'm guessing the counter steering thread died out?

Mike, read post two and do the required info. Put it in a signature line. The stock Harley system is perfect as is from 100 down to below 32F. Even on my older 2004. You have another problem that is causing your issue. There are many system over the year. There is help probably on here if you do your part.

Huh?? What are you talking about here? What bike, engine, pipe, mods etc do you currently have?
