Default Calif riding in the Fall...

Before the weather turns sour, took a couple of Oct road trips which included a weekend run up PCH-1 to the Mendocino area, and a weekend run up to S Lake Tahoe. Weather, roads, and scenery were outstanding, and the best part was the bike ran perfectly. Pic credits to "Ich," one of my riding partners. Thanks for looking - hope you're enjoying your own Fall Season rides wherever you are!

You must have just missed the storms we had over the last few days.

Nice pics. The weekend before this last rainy weekend I did a 1,000 mile loop to and from the Bay Area to Death Valley and back. Going there we went over the high country of Yosemite on Route 120. Returning, we cross the southern Sierra on Route 178 and then crossed the Central Valley and rode Route 25 north through the coastal mountains. I'm sure glad we didn't try it this past weekend when it snowed in the Sierra.

Good looking scenery. And you did the Tahoe trip just in time. I had to go through chain control over Donner Summit this morning.

nice pics. I love riding Northern California, especially Del Norte, Humboldt and Mendocino counties. Just wish I lived closer to there.

Lake Tahoe is below it's natural rim, nothing from Tahoe is going into the Truckee River.

Great pics. Wish I had time to go on a distance ride like that. It is a great time of year for riding.
