true dat! I admit I am quite impatient regarding cagers....I did a few passes I am not proud of today.....but in my defense these people had other things to consider besides driving........which is a shame . but a fellowrider who has a I'll get there when I get there attitude can get people unnerved quicker than a texting cager.

I think I exit my driveway going faster than 45 MPH.

I get friendship and as a friend, I would never want to hold someone up. He should understand that. He should also ride his ride, then meet you at the destination.

Precisely why I rarely ride with anyone. In addition to the fact that I'm a loner by nature. But I ride because I enjoy it and just going at my own pace to the places and on the routes that suit my fancy at that moment is riding my ride. Can't do that with numbers.

Maybe your friend won't go over 45mph because he hasn't learned to counterseer yet. Sorry...wrong thread.

I couldn't ride with him. I have a friend who showed up at my job this year when I was ready to leave. We did 10 miles on the interstate which is 65mph, and he did 60 the whole time. I was ready to crawl outta my skin. As soon as he got off his exit I was up at 75, which is where most everyone else is.

If I wanted to ride slow, I'd stick to parades.

OP I'd tell your friend it's Prirate's Rule

Those that fall behind, get left behind.

No sense in both of you getting killed by a 17 year old girl texting.

No way I'd ride 10 mph under the speed limit. He obviously doesn't care how you feel, so why should you care how he feels? If you can't enjoy the ride, what's the point?

I can relate to the OP. I do 95% of my riding solo, but rallies or beach runs are cool to ride with a bud. Fortunately, my one usual riding buddy rides at about the same pace I do so it's cool, but we still fall into the "where do you wanna eat?" "I don't know, where do YOU wanna eat?" crap sometimes...

We have a 100 mile trip planned for tomorrow and someone else invited him. I'm thinking about not going because I hate slowing other people down because one person out of our group will not run the speed limit.

I love this man but if you can't ride at least the speed limit then your *** doesn't need to be on 2 wheels.

I'm so sick of this. What am I supposed to do?
Likely others have said this but here is my 2 cents.
  1. It is HIS problem and not yours.
  2. Be honest with the guy. Tell it to him frankly and of course no condescendingly.
  3. And if it is not fun for you as stated, then it all stops there.

If the guy is ANY quality type of person, he will understand and not want to screw up your ride.
