Thats the problem, you have been repeating what others have said. That is called the herd mentality. IF the first guy is wrong, but makes a convincing case, and the herd follows, then the entire herd goes over the cliff. That is what happened here.
Your similes need work professor. 'Lemmings" would go over the cliff. A herd......well, they just hang out. Or stampede. Ex; You have fallen victim to the hooves, like so much dung under the stampeding herd.
Now, to those of you who grow weary of pulling the wings off of flies (analogy), simply report this thread to the mods because it has certainly run it's course.
Or, if you like a challenge, turn it political and see if you can get it kicked to POD.

The internets have told me that Harley's aren't build for cornering. So there is no need for this thing called counter steering. I only ride on straight roads
I'm no physicist but I know if I lean on the right grip going into a corner I'm gonna go right. The harder I lean on that grip the tighter my turn is gonna be. I hold the line by maintaining the push on the grip at the same rate.
Back in the 70's when I first stated riding I didn't know anything about countersteering but still managed to ride around quite a bit. Learned about it through a magazine I think, first time I tried it on my 750 Honda it was a revelation. The difference between doing it without realizing it and using it to actually control the bike is night and day imho.
