Thats the problem, you have been repeating what others have said. That is called the herd mentality. IF the first guy is wrong, but makes a convincing case, and the herd follows, then the entire herd goes over the cliff. That is what happened here.
Conversely, WHEN the first guy is right...we're right!
No. That is not what counter-steering is. That is steering torque to maintain the current lean angle, which, if measured, would be less than counter-steering torque, or the steering torque to increase the lean angle.
So you didn't read my post. It's ok, you've already told me you don't always.
counter-steering is what you do...steering torque is the result of that (counter-steering) action!!!!!!!
Tell me how YOU do the action of steering torque.

Well, if there's a herd mentality here, it's born of the fact that all these folks in the "herd" know how to ride bikes and actually understand how they work. And, believe it or not, a few of us actually have a pretty good comprehension of physics, so we do know what's going on when we ride a bike. And that's totally apart of what you choose to call countersteering and what you choose to not call countersteering. It doesn't change the physics. Not one little teensy bit.
Nice metaphor, but it's a bit misdirected.....

We are able to follow the first poster's line properly... by counter steering.

If what you just said was true, you would not be arguing about this. This is obvious.
It is not what I call counter-steering. I did not write the definition.
The two terms have different physical meanings.
I have some things I have to.
I am sure the trolls will be all over this thread by the time I get back.

Nope, just having a little fun at this point, and pondering an old saying:
"It's impossible to best a fool in an argument".
With that said, I find it hard to believe that there are a bunch of fools on this thread saying pretty much the same thing, arguing with one person who seems to think he's the only right one.....
If nothing else, it stretches the laws of probability pretty tightly.
