How can I remove metal chrome hairline scratch. Thank you.

You can try to polish it out but the chrome plating is extremely thin and if you polish through to the nickel layer it will look worse.

The only way to remove it is to rechrome the part.

I leave the small scratches alone. I find that trying to make them better actually makes it worse. You see it because you know it's there but others may not see it.

Good question. I've got a few hairlines on the top of my pipes where some dirt was probably not completetly cleaned off and I scratched them while buffing. I tried some polish yesterday, but it did nothing. I'm just leaving them alone.

simple answer,, you can't... though you might try buffing if they are not deep

They are hairline scratches, I cannot feel the line when rub my finger on it.
Do you think the harley davidson chrome clean and shine can remove the scratches?
