I forgot to add the funniest thing I heard while at the dealer. I was checking out the CVO, and a salesman told a guy looking at it that it put out 100hp stock. I would sure love to see a dyno sheet from HD that is close to that number.

 

Such deals exist.

 

Rode with a guy today with a 2017 CVO SG. Said he was able to get MSRP at one of the dealers with a big markup. He worked two dealers against each other, and both offered to sell at MSRP, so I guess some dealers will move on price.

BTW, The orange looks a lot better in person that in the pics I have seen. Nice bike.

 

"I can sell it to another customer for more" -- directly from the sales manager.

Both of my socal dealers are MSRP + ~some freight/setup.

I appreciated his honesty and I walked. No one was angry, that's just the way it is.

 

Pretty much the attitude I've gotten at every dealer but 1 here in the bay area , only variance in pricing was each places setup fees.
