I'm a funeral director in Maryland. I've actually usedone of those hearses for a funeral before. They're built by a guy in Pennsylvania, called the tombstone hearse co. When he builds one he rents it until he sells it, then he builds another. I rented one out of Jersey. We have it available for any family, but it's rarely given any serious consideration. It's a real cool send off, the problem is that most of the people that would have an interest in it are, unfortunately, victims of a motorcycle accident. Sometimes the family doesn't want to be reminded of that.

 

saw it on the foxnews show this morning. One the the talking heads (dark haired guy) made some smart remark about it was good for someone in a bike gang, anyone else would want to go out with more dignity.

 

Saw the one from Johnstown PA quite a few times now. It is a really neat final ride for those that would prefer that over a caddimalac........

A friend of mine had the sad luck of "riding" it in recently.
I didn't know him well, some of you may have heard about this or knew Tim better.
His house caught fire in the early am. It was bad & they got out just in time. The fire was in the far end, away from the garage. He ran into the garage, rode his wifes Harley out. Ran back, rode his HARLEY out & had a fatal heart attack in the front yard.
What a tragidy for his wife. Lost her entire home & her husband. Lost the computer & all files, taxes, photos....., everything.
This pic is from his funeral. I saw it on Fox news too & heard the comentater make fun of it.
