If you want black don't settle, you'll second guess it forever that you should have waited for the color you really wanted. If you go withthe Black Cherry get the number of the one they have on thefloor to make sure they're not just saying that to sell you what they have in stock to move a bike off their floor. I guess I always look for the ulterior motive.

 

If you want black, get black. I'd be careful about being willing to take an 08 tho. You said that you already had bought pipes, PC3 and accessories, who knows? the Fatboy may be a little different in 08 than it was in 07 and some of your accessories won't fit.

 

This also went through my head. The pipes, PCIII, etc....may not fit on a 08. I should be able to take everything back were I bought it from. Probably have to pay for a "restocking fee". Then start from scratch with the 08.

 

Get the color you originally ordered. If that means holding out for a a couple of weeks longer, wait it out. It will be worth it. Do NOT get the color you are not sure of as others have said you will continually second guess yourself.

 

Don't settle- Get what you want! They should either find you a Vivid Black or give you your $1k back.

 

It is kinda like marrying an not so pretty woman. Heart an so may be just as good but the outside you got to look at everday.

 

Yep never settle when dealing in that amount of money. Never worth it. My dealer did a dealer trade for mine, there were only 8 in MI. My boss went and bought a bike also and traded for his colors, there were only 2 of his in MI

 

Now this is gonna mess you up, sorry. I see on the 2008 color chart that 6 of the colors for the Fatboy have no pinstripes, but 3 new colors do. I wonder if the non stripes have those new graphics,and maybe the new 3 have gone back to pinstripes? Something to think (agonize) about if you don't really care for the new 07 graphics.
