Dealer Markup right on the 2017 pricetags

Statistics suggest that the level of motorcycle sales in the U.S. has been on a long downward trend. The buyer population is aging and decreasing in numbers. IMO, excessive prices will cost sales in the long term. The local Indian dealers here in Atlanta are discounting heavily and enjoying good sales. Virtually every Indian sale, IMO, comes at the expense of a Harley sale.

Tell you what get your non believing *** out to a couple dealers and try to hustle a price break on a 17 and see what happens, you won't like what you'll be hearing. Moco's trying to deliberately manipulate the market by limiting the number of machines that's going to be available and when they will be. I was told outright by 2 sources directly involved that MSRP will be the minimum pricing standard or future allotments will be in jeopardy. They have to report monthly sales figures to the moco.
firm.Great deals on 16s.

Just FYI HD is reimbursing dealer for the predelivery setup. Local dealer here tried to charge me Setup on an 18 I ended up not buying. I showed them on the HD web site where it was stated in the list under specs and pricing that they did. Dealer has since removed setup from all 18 price list.

I received an email yesterday from the Indian dealer in Marietta. Nice people, they are offering the model that is supposed to compete with the SGS for $16.9K. GPS, touch screen, etc. Black only. I have no interest in this bike, and I'm not currently in the market, but that is a hell of a price. FYI, this is not an indication of a motorcycle that is selling well otherwise.

Never seen a setup fee on a bike here in Atlanta, the freight is the non negotiable number. Where they tend to try to rip people off is documentation and tag fees, I have seen doc fees from 500 to 1000; last two cars I bought were both 250 fees.
never would pay MSRP for a new bike and I won't pay that for accessories at purchase, if you want to me farkle my bike on purchase discount the accessories or throw in the labor.
