Virtually every Indian sale, IMO, comes at the expense of a Harley sale.
So every Harley sold comes at the expense of Indian? Actually, many who buy Indian would have never bought a Harley in the first place. For instance, a lot of Victory owners have jumped to Indian which is why Victory sales were down.

I think you're being too hard on the dealers. The money to replace the motor due to low oil pressure has to come from somewhere! Suck it up buttercup!

I was told outright by 2 sources directly involved that MSRP will be the minimum pricing standard or future allotments will be in jeopardy. They have to report monthly sales figures to the moco.
This is what I was told after the dealers meeting. Maybe a price break before the 18s come out or a bad economy but they are holding
firm.Great deals on 16s.

Here it is October 2017 and the 2018's are out. I just visited San Diego Harley today and they have huge markups on their 2017's - $3500 on an Ultra Limited.

That's because "New York Myke" knows you're a Zonie! I bet they had a lot of inventory though...

Just FYI HD is reimbursing dealer for the predelivery setup. Local dealer here tried to charge me Setup on an 18 I ended up not buying. I showed them on the HD web site where it was stated in the list under specs and pricing that they did. Dealer has since removed setup from all 18 price list.

That's how Polaris Industries rolls. You can't find a 2017 Polaris Sportsman ATV around here, because Polaris blew 'em all out with huge discounts last month.

I received an email yesterday from the Indian dealer in Marietta. Nice people, they are offering the model that is supposed to compete with the SGS for $16.9K. GPS, touch screen, etc. Black only. I have no interest in this bike, and I'm not currently in the market, but that is a hell of a price. FYI, this is not an indication of a motorcycle that is selling well otherwise.

never would pay MSRP for a new bike and I won't pay that for accessories at purchase, if you want to me farkle my bike on purchase discount the accessories or throw in the labor.
Dealer doesn't have to get the tag you can go pick up and save the difference.
