Ormond beach is a great hotel location. Close enough to everything.

Are they still doing Bikeweek and Biketoberfest? I would have thought that people had gotten wise to that shakedown years ago!

Last time I was at Biketoberfest was 2012. Lots of nice looking bikes and you can party all night if you're a mind to. You damn well better behave yourself when your cruising the strip.

Biketoberfest is still nowhere near the money suck fest that Sturgis has become

$20 to camp under the trees, $2 beers and good food at multiple vendors at Cabbage Patch and Cackleberry all day long with great bands both places starting at noon. Shake down? To each his own.

I love Destination which takes a good few hours, ride The Loop, then go to Beach Street. There's also the Racetrack area. And of course Main Street. 2 nights is plenty.

Usually the weather is good, a little for chilly for me but you're coming from further north so you might find it warm.

I have never had a problem getting a hotel right up to the day we're leaving sometimes after making a last minute decision.
Spot on.

Camping is the best option as others have pointed out. Rooms start at 200 a night. Lauren's input is a must for Daytona, you will need to detail that scoot immediately upon returning home.
I'll be there Thursday night thru Sunday.

You should have been there in the '70's.

Plenty of places to crash for the night.

Can you still get a pic of you and your bike in front of iconic establishments?
Probably not. Last time I was there that's where the line to buy $30.oo T-shirts was.

No trailer queens in those day.

I'm sure that the old days were wonderful, but I wasn't there. But I sure as Hell enjoy the present!
