Default power commander for 2007

I had a power commander installed on my 2007 road king, runs really strong. My problem is, it is much harder to start. It turns over 2 to 3 revs before starting. Power commander says it is normal for the 07's. has any one had this problem, or had no problem??

I've seen a couple of posts that mentioned not waiting for the injector system to fully pressurize -- rather, start as soon as you turn the ignition switch on. YMMV...

when i put mine on my 06 i noticed that it takes about 2-3 more revs before firing up. i guess thats the side effect of the good it does. that pc really made my bike run alot better though. i decided i'll live with it, if it aint broke...dont fix it.

My 06 Dyna and my 07 RK both do it with the PCIII added. If you search the forum for slow starts this has been covered at great lengths... I am not flaming you or whatever though cause I know a search for PCIII would give you a million hits

The issue seems to be the PCIII looses power after the initial ECM sensor checkand the fuel pressurizion cycle. When you hit the start button, the PCIII gets power again and must go through its initialization before allowing "things" to pass. There is currently no "real" fix for it, though there has been talk (none of it from the manufacturer) about rewiring or rigging a keep alive circuit for it...

Other then the map support, I wish I had gone another route now...thoughthe bikes bothrun strong...I still may go over to the new zipper's thundermax and keep the extra PCIII as a spare for my Dyna.

1. Turn on ignition.
2. Flip kill switch to run position.
3. Hit starter before engine check light goes out.
4. It fires right up.

I don't even give this issue a second thought anymore.
