So what I'm hearing is, don't wait for the 18's to come out to get the new engine because all my seats, windshields, quick detach hardware and led r/b/t lights won't work on the new ones.

Ok then 2017 purchase next august.

Not sure about the SG/RG, but the last time I was at the dealer they had a few SGS and RGS in bass boat paint.

Don't know who decided that would be a good color for a bike, pretty sure another job awaits,,,,

It would be better if it were MATTE green. Make a retro Army type bike..

To save costs, auto makers have been using common frames for a long time.
Surprised HD is keeping the Street.

What I suspect is this will mean that the '17's will be "orphan" bikes with lots of one-year only parts (new engine in old frame). Parts for them might be difficult to find in a few years.
