Icon Strongarm in the summer. I sometimes take the shoulder, elbow, and back armor out of it for more comfort.
A Cortech Gx-Sport in the winter, or sometimes at night. It's extremely visable, has piping and decorative pieces that glow when light hits them. It looks sort of like the following jacket, but not exactly. I have a matching set of pants that zip together with the jacket so they do not separate in a crash leaving your midriff exposed.

Does THE perfect jacket actually exist? One that can be worn 12 months, four seasons? In every conceivable weather condition known to mankind? A jacket that can be cool in temps exceeding 110*, keep me toasty in temps dropping below 0*f, keep me bone dry in torrential rains that last for days; and will offer me total protection from sliding and high speed impacts? Not to mention being totally comfortable with a complete range of motion?
That jacket doesn't exist. Every jacket is a compromise. When I travel I need at least two jackets. For the year, I need four.

Do yourself a favour and head to your dealership and check one out, you sound silly right now. What does Harley make that's NOT over priced? Expensive maybe, cheap they are not. I'll even give you a hint, they can ship any material anywhere so just cause it's made overseas dosent automatically make it "foreign cheap overseas material". And my quality genuine HD leather cost less than your non HD one cost, so...

There are others (like my FXRG) that are substantial and quite well made. I got mine for half off in like-new condition. Now it's well worn but still in great shape.
It really depends. Some are worth the price. Some aren't. Fox Creek probably offers a better value in leather jackets. I think Schott offers better quality but at a price.
