Default Took my wife for her longest ride yet yesterday

She never really liked going on the bike but I managed to talk her into a ride yesterday. She would go for little 25 mile jaunts a couple times a year. That was all she wanted. I asked if she wanted to take a ride through the country to have lunch at this restaurant I want to try. Told her it was about 50 miles one way and she said sure. Took all back roads to get to route 105 in Halifax ma. and rode to the other end in Marion. It is a nice ride through farm land. The lunch was great. She tried fish tacos for the first time and I had meatloaf with apple bbq sauce gravy. We both loved our meals.
I asked her how she wanted to get home. We could just slam down the highway or take the same route back. She opted for option 2 and came home the same way. A grand total of 110 miles. For me that is below average for a week end ride but for her it was long.
We both enjoyed the day together. She loved it back there. In fact we are hoping to do it again tomorrow, her idea. I think I created a monster and my solo days are in jeopardy, but thats okay. I just have to get her up on the highway now. She wants to do a night away somewhere up in New Hampshire.

Good Deal! My bike doesn't leave the garage w/o the wife on back, no matter how hard I try to sneak out. We ride with another couple and can plan an over nighter every weekend, if they didn't have a teen age son at home.

Discovered cialis? I kid I kid!!

I used to have to fight my ex-girlfriend to get a solo ride in. Then again, I didn't like her that much really. Kidding. Not really.

It's cool you could get her out and enjoy the day. That's what it's all about. Make the bike as comfortable for her as you can. She'll be on the back before you can get geared up.

Good for you (Both).... I don't ride much with my wife..She enjoys being at home with the pups and chilling...
I enjoy getting away on the bike letting my worries get lost in the wind....We are both happy that way...
Each to his/her own....

Mine had never even thought anything about motorcycles ,never even ridden on one when we met. Had no interest. One day my bike was out in the drive and I was sleeping and it had started to rain. It was an Ultra Classic. She didn't want to wake me as I had to get up in a few hours for work so she fired it up and got it into the garage. When we would ride together after that when we got home I would put it on the jiffy and open the garage door and she would slide down onto the drivers seat and ease it into the garage. Long story short...in the last 10 years she's had 5 different HD's

Take it just a little bit longer each time and before you know it she will be an all day pillion rider. It was always fun when my wife rode with me.

That is awesome... My wife ended up buying her own bike, she has a lot of miles on it already. Great marriage therapy.

Congrats
I can't get my wife on the back.
She was involved in 3 wrecks in 3 years (rear-ended all three times).
She is scared to death of it happening on the bike.
Maybe someday
