Switched the tank to reserve drove 33 miles was about 1-2 miles from the watering hole and pop pop pop out of fuel! As I coasted into this guys driveway who was about to start mowing his lawn said to me That sure is a quiet running harley you got son! I replied just run her out of gas mind if I buy some from ya? Thanks to theold guy got it going toot sweet thanks again oldtimer.First time ever cutting that close but with no stations nearbyI was on a hope and a prayer of making it.

 

At least you know how far you can go on reserve now.

Two weeks ago I ran out. First time in my life. I pumped the gas to get to a gas station, but couldn't get up the grade for the last 25 feet. I'm still too weak after getting a stent put in in Dec. Lucky a guy walking helped me push it up.

 

Blasting home from Utah last week, I was in such a groove at 90 mph I almost ran out. I looked down at the gauage and the light is on. Drop her down to 50 mph for about 15 miles and coast into a station in Minneloa. Out in the middle of nowhere - I mean nowhere it was panic time for a bit.

 

Dude, I cant believe you got 33 miles out of reserve! That is awesome! But after my Mother's day episode, I think I wont even be using reserve from now on! Glad you found some help!

 

Ok Jake you mentioned it what happened with the mother inlaw?

 

That Stent stuff takes the wind outta yer sails for a while.. I got mine last june with a heart attack (massive) and 20% damage. I tipped my glide over in sept in indiana and had to get help to pick it back up. Got good news last week. Heart doc says go for it.
