Was pulling out off a side road, making a left turn.....saw 3 cars...actually a car, then an SUV and another car coming from my left....pretty close behind one another.....two-lane rural road...flat, tree-lined and straight. Looked like plenty of time to pull out to my left as they were a good half mile away....turned my head....checked my right again and was about to pull out....just caught a glimpse of some guy passing all 3 vehicles....he was blocked from my view by the SUV originally......had I pulled out would have put me headed right at him head-on....justNEED to make that second look I tell you!!!!!

Glad to hear you took that second look. I've made it a habit to always look left, right, and left again before crossing a intersection or pulling out onto a road, those cagers are sneaky bastards.

Yep, had I been in a hurry would have been up close and personal with the front end of his car at about 75mph......I make it a habit to look twice......but with these behemoth SUVs might have to make it three looks!!!!
