What is the manufacture date - that and how the tire was stored could possibly explain things....

Conclusion...DUNLOP says that this is an unusual wear patter, they've never seen it before. They're sending me another tire free, and want the old one for their engineers to study.

Great, but will you have to pay for removal and mounting? Which I presume is a yes.

would you rather pay for mounting and balancing, or a new tire, mounting and balancing?

would you bitch if they hung you with an new rope too?
