A big advantage to wearing a bandana is lack of rider identification on a red light or speed camera.

Bandanas really help during the Santa Ana winds we get here in So Cal, with all the dust and crap blowing around. I always keep a few in my saddle bags.

In the winter I wear one for warmth. And that's the only reason for me.

 

I wear one under my half helmet to prevent "helmet itch".

 

i wear one at work all summer, under my hard hat. It keeps the sweat out of my eyes
