I may start carrying one in my saddle bags....Getting caught in a heavy downpour w/o a full face helmet kinda sucks..

 

carry two. they get lost. if you carry one you are sure to lose it. and if you carry two you will never lose either one, so you can give one to a needy brother in a dust storm, he will probably soon lose it.

the big decision is color. red or black?

I like the remark about dress up. chimps play with putting stuff on their heads, like riders put beanies on. But the chimps (other than us) draw the line there, they have no desire to actually get dressed. Yes people-chimps like dress up. I wonder why.

I really do wonder why. 'Cause it's a true thing. Maybe it's the neanderthal genes, the hybrid nature of us as opposed to the more "pure" chimp species still extant.

 

and... Ladies and Gentlemen... the Number 1 reason to wear a bandana. Drumroll please....















...because David Letterman NEVER did a "Top Ten Reasons To Wear a Bandana"

It's no joke. A mild case might not have much in the way of symptoms, but people die from valley fever every year. When I'm on my bike and the dust starts blowing, the bandanna goes on over my nose and mouth.

I've lived here for 17 years and have probably been exposed to enough of it that I have an immunity to it.
