A big advantage to wearing a bandana is lack of rider identification on a red light or speed camera.
A bandana means you don't need to figure out what you will be for Halloween.
Unless you wear that bandana on your license plate I can't see it helping you at speed or red light cameras. Around here the fine goes to the registered owner and the judge doesn't care if " it wasn't me riding" it.

My BIL got a red light ticket, they sent him a "picture" of him without a seat belt and talking on a cell phone in California. That picture was NOT taken from behind. And it was very expensive.

Point being, if the camera picture is taken from the front there is no plate anyway.

Bandana can be used to tie a split for the wise ones who wear boat shoes riding and the rubber side goes up. I finally saw someone riding with flip flops. "Real men of genius" as the Budweiser ads used to say.

Well, this thread really bums me out...I don't own a bandana. I've been missing out all this time.

So the government can punish you without proving it was you who violated the law?
That's a violation of due process.

The picture is always taken from the back to get the plate without that they would not have known where to send the fines. Many traffic cameras take both front and rear for additional fines as your bil found out. Think about it, do you think they got his address from facial recognition software,,,,,,

If you play a cool pianna, you wear a red bandana, in a honky-tonk, down in Mexico.

Most of the red light cameras where I live have been removed. They were a money grab for the people "license" the software to run and took a large percent of the "take". Secondly - it was determined that payment was "optional" because there was no due process as you said. Savvy people either a) didn't pay or b) requested a copy of the photo so they could dispute the photo. In any event - it was another form of corruption that would make Hillary proud. She'd shed a tear if her severe brain damage from an unreported stroke would allow that function.
