So it must be true.

"Harley-Davidson has filed trademark applications for “Sport Glide,” suggesting the return of a touring model last produced in 1993. The trademark applications were filed last week in both the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as well as Europe Union Intellectual Property Office for use on “motorcycles and structural parts therefor.

The Harley-Davidson FXRT Sport Glide was introduced in 1983 as a Super Glide variant with a mid-sized frame-mounted fairing and saddlebags. The FXRT was discontinued in 1993.

A new Sport Glide will likely join Harley-Davidson’s Dyna family as a light bagger, perhaps similar to the FLD Switchback but with a new fairing".

Some food for thought:
Go to Ronnie's site and compare the cost of an FXR frame to the cost of a Dyna frame. The FXR was almost twice the cost to buy.
You won't see the real deal again.

Why? It's true. Patent and Trademark filings are public information.
