Boots, and the elements thereof

Ixnay on the lace up boots. Laces can be a real detriment at times. You can sometimes get your left boot lace caught on the shifter peg while trying to put your foot down at a stop. I've seen it happen and it's not real pretty. If you do decide on a laced boot just be damn sure that you keep the laces double knotted and very very short.

Sidi Adventure Gore-Tex boots.
Great in heat (100+ degrees) and cold 45 (my feet get cold very easy, but comfortable in these boots).

In decades of working where steel toed boots were mandatory the one that worked best for me was Timberland Pro. They are exceptionally comfortable and durable. Insulated for winter riding and just don't seem to wear out.
I had two pairs from where I worked 14 years ago. Just gave up on the first pair and started the second pair. Don't know their cost as they were provided by the employer.
The only negative is that they are very heavy.
