Default LRS shields again

I was about to order a windshield from LRS. I chose the one i wanted..
I went to the checkout and the shipping was 19.75..That's half the price of the shield!!
This could be why they sell shields for less..
They are also making profits on shipping..
I just don't think that is fair.. My opinion..

Peace and Prayers

They might be making a few bucks on shipping ($5 maybe?), but based on the quality (that I've had) and the lower price compared to some other shields out there, I don't mind paying a little extra.

I just went on their site, too. I've ordered from them in the past, and their prices are low enough to make the shipping palatable. But it is kind of a rip.
Anyway, I ordered the 8" Stealth shield in light tint. I'll report how it works.

Whenever I'm shopping I always look at the total price to include shipping because in the end that's what you are going to pay.

I've ordered two shields from LRS and gladly paid the shipping. (I believe my shipping was $16.95).
Why did I gladly pay the shipping? Because there's no way I could find an equal shield for $56 delivered in 3 days.

Same here. Just bought my second one from them. Very happy both times with quality, and their policy on returns is nice as well, though I haven't needed it. If they are making a few bucks on shipping, that's fine by me - total out of pocket is way less than their competition when they have good sales going.

have you priced shipping lately? depending on the size of the box, you may get charged for dimensional weight vs actual weight. I don't think that 16.95 is an unreasonable shipping charge (don't forget to add in the cost of supplies too). I think you would be hardpressed to ship for less.

here's one that will really get your goat. I priced a shirt at Newcastle. the price for the shirt was $15 off msrp. great deal, yes? the shipping for said shirt was $16.00. effectively making the shirt more than I could buy it for locally.

I like the LRS I bought for my RK. Look around and priced the competition and add in their chipping fees.

cost me 17 bucks to send a helmet back. so what ?
shipping and handling are to be looked at as what would it cost me to drive to a bigger city and pay no shipping?
180 mile round trip to Dallas for me.
do the math

Yep, their shipping is high. But even with the shipping, they are still the best bargain in the industry. Check Memphis Shades or National Cycle prices, for example.
