If I was set on a touring bike, it would be a Road Glide.

If you like your bob you will more than likely love the street glide. I think the bikes you should be comparing is the street glide vs the street glide special.

There is a reason you see soo many Street Glides, no matter what the naysayers whine about.

While I can understand the disenchantment with harley do you honestly want to seen on something that looks like the offspring of Bozo the Clown getting his freak on with a 1960's Plymouth station wagon ?

You somehow made that sound appealing. lol

I am not a fan of the Street Glide. It's ride is harsh with the lowered suspension.

Have you looked at the Heritage?

I would say.. go for the SGS. Got mine, 2015, and haven't looked back. Currently on a tour of the country, so far over 6k in a month, with more to go. Great all around bike. Matter of fact odo says 20k +miles, and not a single issue with the bike. My brother says that my *** is velcro'd to the seat. Maybe so.
