Default Riding Etiquette

Hi guys.

As I've mentioned in other posts, I'm new to Harley and would like to know if there's any riding etiquette I should be aware of.

For example, HD logos on jackets, courtesy nods, things to avoid, dos and don'ts etc.

Years ago in my 20s I began Taekwondo. Without knowing, I purchased a dobok (uniform) intended to be worn only by black belts. It looked cool, had black trims and everything. I looked a right tool turning up with no ability and was promptly informed to change clothes! I don't wanna make a similar mistake riding a HD!!

Nope, no different than polite society. I wave to other riders. I don't engage in conversation with 1% club members unless appropriate. It no different than car show and a nice car.

Don't look down upon or talk smack about another's ride regardless of brand.

Default Motor etiquette?

PLUS - wait for some replies from some of the members in G.B. There are a number of them here. You may find some idiosyncrasies particular to your side of the pond. Good Luck!

Yeah, I think that over there you're all either mods or rockers and if you aren't riding a scooter then you have to modify your harley into a cafe racer prior to riding it.

Best advice....keep ur mouth shut, ears open, eyes on the road. "I don't know" stops the conversation right then and there. Don't be a drama queen. And a friendly nod or hand out can't hurt as long as it's not ur middle finger. I always offer my hand along with my name anyone no matter if they are patched or not. It's polite when someone walks in front and looks right at you to acknowledge them. Don't be the drunk that everyone wants to drop kick
