18" Apes
Can you people help me? I went to a set of 18" 1 1/4 apes and i went to the dealer to ask them to install all the cables, they told me i would have to supply the cables because they dont. Does anyone know of a company i can get a complete set of braided cables (throttle, idle, brake, and clutch) thru? Thanks

RE: 18" Apes
I put 18'sx 1 1/4oh my 95 softail, I disconnected all cables and switch gear, set the 18's in place, ran the stock cables up as far as they would go. then measured the missing cable distance witch in my csae was 8". Bought Magnum Sterling Chromite cables....orded them 8" over stock. bought a wiring extenstion kit from coustom chrome, cut the stock wiring and soldered and shrink wrapped them to the proper lenth. ran through the in side of the bars, also got extended front brake line from magum also, handle bars where about $125, cables an brake line where about $170 and wiring kit was $20 bucks or so. was a great weekend project taking about 5 hours to complete, was about medium level on the difficulty scale....so alittle elbow grease and some labor saved a whole bunch of$$ over what a shop would charge to do this job. my only regret was going with 1 1/4 handle bars instead of the ol trusty 1" ones.....just my opionion
