Well I guess I will just have to put the torque wrench on it and see if it holds. It's just funny that the banjo bolt that came with the kit stripped it out so easily. I know I know I should have done that the first time. I was just trying to get it close and must have went to far. Thanks for the help.

Bolts aren't always the same length is the problem shorter banjo bolt means fewer threads to hold under pressure and the weaker aluminium threads give it up. You are not the first on this trust me.

I definitely goes in 5 to 6 full turns. It just broke on me at the very bottom. I almost want to just leave it at the tightness that it's at now and just see if it will work without leaking.

scary part about that is it may "work" just fine,, until that one time when you have to lay on it hard and the dang bolt blows out because of the buggered threads
Please don't make risky decisions with your brakes.

Yeah I will probably torque it just to make sure. If it doesn't hold then I will just bite the bullet and get a new mc. My life is worth more than $170

OP unless you have the right tools and a solid mechanical background find another MC and chalk this one to a life's lesson about proper torque. As has been said if you have the stock black one there's a load of them on ebay and in indy shops to be had very reasonable , just ask to be sure you aren't buying the same issue as yours.
Ditto
Most important thing on the bike is stopping it. No Tapping, Sealers, etc.
A used MC or even a new one is much cheaper that any scenario after a failure.

Trying to cheap out on a relatively inexpensive part may just end up costing you more than a few dollars before it's over with.

Just how much is your life worth?

If you're not worried about your safety, at least think about your paint job. A mist of DOT 4 on the tank and fender will be bad.

Something is telling me this isn't going to end well. New M/C is less than $100
