Nowadays safety nannies would be all over you about the lack of helmet, gloves, long pants and that Corvair in the background (unsafe at any speed) LOL!
Levi's, T-shirts and Levi jackets were what we mostly wore when I started riding. My first motorcycle jacket was from a store called Monte Mart (much like Walmart today). It didn't last very long and I was able to afford vented armored jackets like I ride in today. Leather is too hot during our summers to ride in.
My first leather jacket was in 1979, it was a Lewis Leathers jacket (London). It would be worth a good amount if I still had it but alas it wouldn't fit any more lol.
I used to also wear an all in one rainsuit. Well it always rained in London.
I wore a plastic/vinyl Michael Jackson styled jacket with all the zippers in the 80's. Bright red one. I was a kid then cruising around on my bmx bike.
I ear a Schott Perfecto. Been around since 1913 - still made in USA. Most famously, the jacket worn by Marlon Brando in The Wild One (not to mention James Dean, the Ramones, etc.
