Have a heavy but real soft black Elk skin pullover Daniel Boone style shirt without all the fringe I picked up at some backwoods outfitters place up in Oregon I rode for years in with a sweatshirt under it. Same deal I'll never get into again and even if I did I think getting out of it would more work than it worth anymore, hate the thought of letting it go.

LOL TarSnake, I was going to get into the leather v textile debate, but, yes, its been done to death. Do I sense a troll?
My go-to is leather, but I'll wear lighter stuff if and ONLY IF it is bloody hot. Personally, I believe leather gives better abrasion resistance.
Wear, or don't, what ya wanna. Its still (at least for the next coup of months) a free country. If someone tells me its for my own good/I can't do it because they don't like it, I will run in the opposite direction as fast as I can.
